OK so My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 37,265, Tooele is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,166 for rent here. Household incomes average around $88,893 in Tooele. Median household income is $88,893, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I wrong here? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Fairview) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The housing market is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
