Anyone work in healthcare in Topeka?

Alright, Homes are going for about $130,600 on average. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks for reading.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Pine Hills area are challenging. Kids love it here.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great sushi places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much pricey but now it's underrated.
