How much do you pay for rent in Topeka?

Longtime lurker here, Median household income is $55,902, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $130,600 on average. With a population of 126K, Topeka is a mid-size city. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Is this normal for Topeka? Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
