Topeka housing prices — when will it stop?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider — Topeka sits at 712.3 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much reasonable but now it's hit or miss.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community vibe is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
