First time home buyer in Topton

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and It's a a small town city with about 2,305 people. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $215,600 on average. Rent is about $1,184/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Walkable downtown
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Limited dining options
- Poor road conditions
Does this match your experience? TIA! Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
