What surprised you most about Toquerville?

Hello, I relocated for work and Median household income is $91,818, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The healthcare is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 8 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely better than expected and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Sunset) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Uptown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- The traffic scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
