Why I chose Toronto over bigger cities

So, I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $47,202 in Toronto. Rent is about $673/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $102,800, which is actually reasonable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I wrong here? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up.
