Top 5 things I love about Town 'n' Country

Random thought, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The median home value here is around $295,800, which seems about average. Poverty rate is 8.0%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thoughts?

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The dating scene is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 8 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
