Hey folks, Military spouse here. With a population of 8,137, Travelers Rest is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Would love some local perspective. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
