I relocated for work and The median home value here is around $367,600, which seems about average. It's a a small town city with about 15,491 people. With a population of 15,491, Traverse City is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Does this match your experience? Appreciate any input. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up.
