So, I'm single, late 50s, and It's a a small town city with about 11,128 people. Homes are going for about $1,225,300 on average. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The weather is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The weather is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Portland about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is improving.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
