I've lived in Greenfield for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The cultural scene scene is decent
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The traffic is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
