Is this normal for Troutdale? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The traffic is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..
