Freelancing from Troy -experience?

Alright, I'm a remote worker and You can expect to pay around $1,557 for rent here. Household incomes average around $119,299 in Troy. Rent is about $1,557/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 87,307 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in real estate. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
