Troy quality of life -am I missing something?

Alright, We have two kids and Homes are going for about $396,800 on average. Rent is about $1,557/month for a decent place. With a population of 87,307, Troy is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $396,800, which seems about average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Let me know your thoughts. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The dating scene is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Charlotte it's challenging.
