What's it really like living in Troy?

First post here. Crime rate is something to consider -Troy sits at 79.1 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,557 for rent here. Household incomes average around $119,299 in Troy. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Friendly people
- Close to nature

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited dining options
- Limited cultural events
There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.
