I work in automotive and Crime rate is something to consider -Troy sits at 600.6 per 100K. The median home value here is around $192,500, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $57,688, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 19.2%, which is higher than I expected. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What would you do? TIA! The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
