Been meaning to ask this. I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $199,400, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $934 for rent here. Homes are going for about $199,400 on average. With a population of 26,716, Troy is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? Thanks for reading. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The cultural scene is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

I work in tech here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is improving. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in The Heights for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- The walkability scene is tough
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
