Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 13 years and The median home value here is around $100,200, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $59,095, which feels about average for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts? Thanks!

I've lived in South for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- The community vibe scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.
