Why I chose Tualatin over bigger cities

Hi all, We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 27,710 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The nightlife is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 1 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
