Best neighborhoods in Tuckahoe

So, I'm a remote worker and It's a a small town city with about 6,990 people. With a population of 6,990, Tuckahoe is a small town. Household incomes average around $127,344 in Tuckahoe. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. I've lived in The Heights for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The pet-friendliness scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Minneapolis about 5 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..
