How much do you pay for rent in Tucson Estates?

Been meaning to ask this. We have two kids and Homes are going for about $190,200 on average. Rent is about $1,168/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Appreciate any input. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great Mediterranean places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Uptown for 1 years. Moved from Charlotte for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Uptown schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Can feel isolated. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 6/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 9 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Vietnamese places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
