Healthcare options in Tulare?

Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Would love some local perspective. Thanks! Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from San Diego about 5 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.
