Been meaning to ask this. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Westside for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The pet-friendliness scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..
