Best areas to explore in Tumwater?

Hey, I'm a teacher here and With a population of 26,519, Tumwater is a smaller city. Median household income is $93,635, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
