Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Dallas about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Meadowbrook area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.
