Job hunting in Tupelo -tips?

Random thought, Median household income is $66,314, which feels about average for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I overthinking this? The suburbs are where most families end up.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The food scene is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 3 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

I work in manufacturing here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is tough. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
