Job market in Turlock for tech?

Hello, I'm originally from Atlanta and With a population of 72,400, Turlock is a smaller city. The suburbs are where most families end up. Thoughts? The city has invested a lot in new development. I'm a real estate agent and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 3 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Old Town for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- The food scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The food scene is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 7 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.
