Military spouse here. The median home value here is around $443,900, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $1,498/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Worth the trade-offs? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.
