Life in Tuskegee as a young professional

Anyone else feel this way? You can expect to pay around $706 for rent here. Rent is about $706/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Does this match your experience? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in tech. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
