Is Tustin worth it salary-wise?

Curious what people think. Household incomes average around $108,435 in Tustin. Should I be concerned?

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Portland about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in education. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great Mediterranean places. I love the pace of life here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 11 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Houston about 6 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is average.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..
