Working in Tuttle -salaries realistic?

Just moved here 7 months ago and Median household income is $102,417, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $284,600 on average. The median home value here is around $284,600, which seems about average. Household incomes average around $102,417 in Tuttle. It's a a small town city with about 7,785 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What would you do? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 10 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Sunset for 1 years. Moved from Minneapolis for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
consulting is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Sunset schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Not a lot of cultural diversity. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 7/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Highland area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Nashville about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is improving.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..
