What Twain Harte does better than anywhere else

First post here. We have two kids and Median household income is $87,018, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Twain Harte sits at 459.7 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The food scene is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much stable but now it's better than expected.

I've lived in Fairview for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The weather scene is decent

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
