OK so I'm single, late 20s, and With a population of 28,738, Twentynine Palms is a smaller city. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've lived in South for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- The traffic scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
- The traffic scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..
