Rent in Twin Lakes CDP (Adams County) getting crazy

Hi all, I work in consulting and You can expect to pay around $1,608 for rent here. Median household income is $93,818, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Anyone in a similar situation? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in government. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 15 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The school system is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
