Day-to-day life in Union City, CA

I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a smaller city city with about 68,141 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in tech. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
