Life in Union City as a young professional

What neighborhoods would you suggest? The city has invested a lot in new development.

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Korean places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've lived in East for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Affordable housing options
- The public transit scene is improving

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
