Best restaurants in Union City?

The median home value here is around $446,800, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 16.6%, which is higher than I expected. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Does this match your experience? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The food scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 1 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 6 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2015 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
