Hello, Poverty rate is 6.0%, which is pretty low. With a population of 6,930, Union is a small town. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Indian.
