Just moved to Union Park, any tips?

Curious what people think. I'm a 26-year-old real estate agent and Crime rate is something to consider -Union Park sits at 149.5 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Thoughts? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 8 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
