Moving to University CDP (Hillsborough County) -what should I know?

Hi all, I've been here for 9 years and Rent is about $1,185/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. Household incomes average around $36,483 in University CDP (Hillsborough County). People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Sunset for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:

- Low crime in most neighborhoods

- Decent public transit for the size

- The cultural scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:

- Traffic during rush hour is rough

- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..
