Working in University City -salaries realistic?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Born and raised here. With a population of 34,655, University City is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $285,100 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -University City sits at 544.2 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 34,655 people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What do you all think? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I've lived in Eastside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The weather scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is improving in most areas.
