Best companies to work for in Upper Grand Lagoon?

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Upper Grand Lagoon sits at 921.9 per 100K. Rent is about $1,570/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 4.3%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 70--F, so the weather is moderate. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I wrong here? Cheers. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely pretty good and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Sunset for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The community vibe scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.
