Weekend activities in Urban Honolulu?
Anyone else feel this way? I relocated for work and Rent is about $1,783/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 75°F, so it's warm year-round. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
