We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Springfield area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Came here for school and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The safety is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I work in hospitality here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is average. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (The Heights) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
