Hey folks, The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Let me know your thoughts. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The food scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is decent in most areas.

I've lived in Uptown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- The outdoor recreation scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Good luck with whatever you decide..

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Downtown area are decent. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Westside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..
