Hi all, Been living here since 2021. Homes are going for about $318,800 on average. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $113,086 in Urbandale. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Worth the trade-offs? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
