Relocating to Utica, MI -pros and cons?
I'm a college student here and Rent is about $984/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $216,800, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $55,524, which feels about average for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? Cheers. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
