First post here. With a population of 102K, Vacaville is a mid-size city. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
