Hey, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $108,580 in Vacaville. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Does this match your experience? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in construction. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Thai.
No regrets on my end..
